Edmond's average annual cost of living ranks 10 percent below national average
Edmond’s 2007 average annual cost of living index ranks 10 percent below the national average according to the latest ACCRA Cost of Living Index by C2ER, the council for community and economic research. Edmond resident's invention goes nationwide
Kristen Creamer of Edmond and her sister created "hip clips with a grip,” also known as Ribbies Clippies. These kids hairclips are now available in 500 Target stores as part of the company's Parent Inventor Program, which allows parent inventors to test their products in stores and possibly become a permanent fixture on store shelves. Housing outlook good for Oklahoma
Oklahoma housing market should remain on track into 2008 according to real estate experts who spoke recently at the Commercial Real Estate Council of Oklahoma’s Forecast 2008. As single-family permits nationwide continued to plummet in 2006 and 2007, Oklahoma also saw a drop but still was way ahead of the national average. Courtesy of The Journal Record, February 15, 2008

AT&T Foundation awards $1 million to UCO
The AT&T Foundation awarded a $1 million grant to the University of Central Oklahoma to establish the AT&T Digital Evidence and Cyber Security Lab. The lab will be the only one of its kind in the region, serving federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma and neighboring states, while serving as the only facility of its kind in the nation at an institution of higher learning. UCO first-time freshman enrollment at all-time high
First-time freshman are at an all-time high for the 2008 spring semester enrollment at the University of Central Oklahoma. With a 20 percent increase from this time last spring, or 49 additional students brings the total to 294. Graduate student enrollment also increased from this time last year by 9 percent. More state students make UCO their home
The state trend for Oklahoma universities has been a decrease in enrollment for the 2007-08 school year. However, enrollment at the University of Central Oklahoma has increased by 507 students since fall 2003 to a current enrollment of 15,753. The Edmond Sun earns 2007 state honors
The Edmond Sun received recognition this weekend during the Oklahoma Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest for 2007. The Sun placed in nine out of 12 categories in the annual contest, competing in Division 2 for daily newspapers with a circulation between 4,500 and 8,999. Edmond apartments sell for $8.5 million
Spring Creek Apartments at 777 E. 15th St. sold at the end of January for nearly $8.5 million. The selling price for the 250 unit apartment complex was $33,630 per unit.
