OREN USA, a new Edmond-based company, announced its launch of an online real estate platform that allows account holders, such as real estate agents, to post unlimited listings and photos. Edmond-based Bronco Drilling reports second-quarter earnings

Edmond’s Bronco Drilling Company recently announced second-quarter 2008 financial and operational results. Second-quarter revenue increased from $62.3 million in 2008’s first quarter to $69.8 million for the quarter ending June 30. Public Safety Center location decided

The Edmond City Council voted unanimously to approve Barnett Field at Kelly Avenue and Main Street as the site for the new Public Safety Center. The City of Edmond’s proposed ad valorem tax, a 10-year bond, will go to a vote of the people on Nov. 4. A price tag of $31.5 million was also approved by the Council. Team picks practice facility

Oklahoma City’s new NBA team plans to use the Performance Sports Center in north Oklahoma City as its temporary practice facility and operations offices. UCO breaks ground on Lake Arcadia facility

The University of Central Oklahoma had its official groundbreaking for the Arcadia Lake Waterfront Facility last week.The 5,600-square-foot building will be the site of a new "living classroom” for water analysis and plant classification. The facility also will be home to archery, canoeing and kayaking classes. The building is expected to cost about $1.2 million and be complete by January 1. Courtesy of The Edmond Sun, July 30, 2008.

McCoy joins UCO Forensic Science Institute

Mark McCoy is the newest member of the University of Central Oklahoma Forensic Science Institute and will oversee the institute's laboratory and training in cyber crimes and digital evidence. McCoy, who is already a UCO assistant professor of criminal justice, joined the institute this summer as the digital evidence and cyber security program administrator.
