Integris Health Edmond holds ground breaking

Integris Health Edmond broke ground for a full-service, 40-bed, state-of-the-art medical center on Interstate 35, projected to open in fall 2010. The hospital will allow  women to give birth in Edmond for the first time in years, provide full diagnostic imaging and treatment capabilities and significantly impact Edmond's economy. Main Street Enterprises hosts eBusiness Expo

Edmond-basedMain Street Enterprises will hold a one day eBusiness Expo Nov. 20 at the University of Central Oklahoma to discuss how companies can use effective Internet communication to increase business at little or no cost. Topics include using social networking, search engine optimization, blogging and podcasting, rapid site development, e-mail newsletters and micro-advertising. Bronco Drilling announces September operational results

Following the August termination of a planned merger with Texas-based Allis-Chalmers Energy Inc., Edmond-based Bronco Drilling announced their September operational results. While drilling fleet utilization remained at 84 percent from August, the average day rate increased from $18,138 in July to $18,543. Sister city for Edmond

Edmond representatives committed to supporting a Sister City program in Edmond with a signing ceremony. The program is approved for three-years and will receive $5,000 per year. A sister city from another country will be chosen by Sister Cities International. Edmond sees increase in sales tax revenue

Oklahoma Employment Security Commission announces drop in unemployment rate

Oklahoma experienced a drop in unemployment from 3.8 percent in August to 3.5 percent in September, a 0.6 percent decrease from this time last year. The national unemployment rate also decreased to 6 percent, a 0.1 percent decrease from August. Courtesy of OKCBusiness, October 22,2008.

First quarter 2009 state revenue up 6.9 percent

Gross production taxes on natural gas sustained state revenue collection for the first quarter of fiscal year 2009, totaling an increase of 6.9 percent over first quarter 2008 and 6.5 percent above the official estimate. General revenue collections amassed more than $1.56 billion while gas production taxes generated $285.4 million. Net income taxes decreased by $4 million to $617.9 million. Creating 134 new jobs, the 120,000-square-foot Lowe's at Kelly Avenue and Covell Road held a grand opening for more than 5,000 invited guests. Two of six planned buildings open at Highwater Business Park

Highwater Business Park opened the doors to two of six proposed buildings located north of Waterloo Road between Coltrane Road and Sooner Road. Titan Development Partners and JBM Partners LLC partnered in the creation of the new commercial business park in Edmond that features 2,245-square-feet and can be customized to meet tenants’ needs. Edmond apartments sell for $2.725 million

Wimbledon Square, a 60-unit apartment complex built in 1984, sold for $2.725 million or more than $45,000 per unit. The apartments, located at 400 W. Titan Development to open Windsor Park in March

Titan Development plans to open an office park at 307 E. Danforth Rd. early next year. Windsor Park will include 11 suites in three buildings on 1.6 acres and offers users the opportunity to customize units as they are built.
