Francis Tuttle to Offer Classes in Edmond
Edmond-area residents will have the opportunity to take computer classes this spring at Cheyenne Middle School, 1271 West Covell Road in Edmond. The classes are offered by Francis Tuttle Technology Center, with varying start dates. Each class will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Windows XP will introduce students to the basic concepts of the newest operating system, classes will take place from Jan. 27 to Feb. 5. From Feb. 10 to Feb. 19 students will become familiar with all the basic elements of Word 2002 Microsoft's newest word processing program. Beginning Feb. 24 students will have the opportunity to learn how to work with data quickly and share results easily through Excel 2002. Register online at www.francistuttle.com or call 717-4732.

Edmond to get MLS test run
Major League Soccer officials want to take Edmond on a test drive by allowing the city to host a MLS preseason game. A preview of what soccer might be like in Edmond will take place this spring when two teams from the 10-team league play at Wantland Stadium. At the preview officials want to see if the city can handle a professional franchise. The date and teams that will play are still being discussed at this time. American Bank employees appointed to new positions
American Bank in Edmond recently appointed John Meyers Senior Vice President. Meyers joined American Bank in July, 2002 as Vice President. The Edmond bank also appointed George Drew to Executive Vice President. Drew joined American Bank in 1992 as Vice President/Branch Manager. Robert Kirby was also appointed as Senior Executive Vice President. Kirby joined American Bank in 1975. Meyers, Drew and Kirby office at the Main Bank located at 15th and Broadway in Edmond. American Bank officer earns national certification
Christine Wall was recently awarded the Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB), a nonprofit organization sponsored by the American Bankers Association, in Washington, DC. Wall is the Marketing Officer at American Bank, Edmond, OK. She has been with American Bank for fourteen years. Wall offices at the Danforth Office located at Santa Fe and Danforth in Edmond. The CFMP designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of financial services marketing.
