2012 Edmond Economic Abstracts are now available!
The 2012 Economic Abstract, a 10-page economic profile of the city of Edmond is now available! The Economic Abstract, published annually by the Edmond Economic Development Authority and sponsored by Francis Tuttle Technology Center, contains demographic information including population, income levels, cost of living, crime figures, traffic counts and more. The 2012 Economic Abstract also contains information on Edmond’s residential and commercial real estate markets, tax collections and education information.

Council OKs land purchase
The Edmond City Council recently approved the purchase of 7.13 acres at I-35 and Covell for the development of a $25 million Hilton Garden Inn Hotel with conference center. Farmers Market opens
The Edmond Farmers Market recently opened. The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday through Oct. 27, except May 5 due to the Edmond Arts Festival. Wednesday markets are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from June 6 through Aug. 15. Courtesy of The Oklahoman, April 19, 2012.

The Environmental Protection Agency recently selected the University of Central Oklahoma for the sixth College and University Green Power Challenge.
