Resources Available to Edmond-Based Businesses

The Edmond Economic Development Authority (EEDA) exists to offer resources that stimulate the growth of Edmond's economy by creating and maintaining an optimum environment for both new and existing businesses, offering services that facilitate the growth and expansion of those businesses and generating opportunities to increase the sales tax base of the city of Edmond.
Marketing Services: Assists in generating payroll, local spending and taxes. These services are for companies new to Edmond, companies launching new products and services or companies forming new partnerships.
- News Releases – The EEDA offers custom news releases, which are tailored to reach relevant media outlets and business publications
- Other marketing services – Copies of press clippings and event planning

Employment Resources: The EEDA offers two user-friendly databases to assist both companies and job seekers with their employment needs.
- Online Resume Database – The EEDA posts resumes of those actively seeking a position with an Edmond company. The Resume Database is an online resource for Edmond companies in search of potential job candidates. Companies can obtain a password from the EEDA to browse online resumes. Resume Database users have the opportunity to be featured in E-Journal.
- Online Edmond Job Database – This database allows individuals to browse for available opportunities by specific categories. Edmond companies may list available positions by contacting the EEDA at info@eeda.com. Jobs in the database are also featured in E-Journal.

Commercial Real Estate Services: The EEDA works with those promoting their available properties as well as those looking for commercial real estate in the Edmond-area.
- Commercial Real Estate Database – The EEDA provides a Commercial Real Estate Database for those searching for available properties in Edmond and those looking to promote their available properties in the Edmond-area. The database is located on the EEDA Web site at www.eeda.com.

- E-Journal – Edmond's fast track for business news and information. Events: The EEDA offers an annual event as well as a quarterly meeting to help people stay informed about the Edmond-area.
- 4o'clock 4cast– Commercial real estate and business professionals from across the metro area meet in September and April to gather the latest economic statistics about Edmond, exchange information, network and compare leads.
- Edmond Economic Preview – A forum of the previous year's highlights and the following year's projections from local and statewide economic and real estate experts.

Demographics: The EEDA is the source for the latest Edmond demographics.
- Demographic Reports – Demographic information is available by intersection, zip codes and for the entire city. Reports provide various current year information including data on race, population by age, gender and household income.
- Cost of Living – Reports are available analyzing cost of living and demographic information between Edmond and 300 cities in North America.
- Traffic Counts – 4-way counts in a 24-hour period are available for intersections within the Edmond city limits.

Reports: The EEDA maintains many reports to provide the community with its latest information for the retail, hotel and business sectors.

- Consumer Expenditure Report – This report provides total consumer expenditures for the current year and related household information. It provides breakdowns by 97 different types of expenditures.
- Monthly Business Barometer – Provides information and year to year trends on residential and commercial building permits, tax collections and existing homes sold statistics.
- 5-Year Statistical Trend – 5-year trend of the statistical information from the Business Barometer.
- Monthly Hotel/Motel Barometer – Trends in Lodging Tax, gross receipts, revenue per available room and total room nights available.
- Monthly Retail Sales Tax Report – Retail sales tax collections broken down by SIC codes 52-59.
- Retail Sales Tax 5-Year Trend Report – 5-year trend of statistical information from the Retail Sales Tax Report.

Edmond Economic Incentive Policy Application
| Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program: The purpose of the CDBG Program is to create and retain permanent, private sector job opportunities, principally for persons from low and moderate income households while increasing the tax base in Edmond. |
- Program Requirements:

1. Eligible types of CDBG loans include the following:
|
a) Fixed assets loans for the acquisition and/or improvement of land, building, machinery and equipment
including new construction or renovation of existing facilities, demolition and site preparation (not to
exceed the life of the asset).
b) Working capital loans for the start-up of new businesses or conduct of current business.

2. Each loan should produce at least one (1) new or retained permanent, full-time equivalent job for each
$9,000 of CDBG money.
3. At minimum, at least 51% of the permanent, full-time equivalent employment opportunities created or
retained must be made available to persons from low/moderate income households. (Guidelines provided)
4. For every dollar of CDBG funds included as part of the financing package, at least $1 of other funds must be
injected into that project. Private sector dollars may include banks, savings and loans, state or federal loan
programs, etc.
5. No applicant will be denied a loan on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability or sex.
6. The program must be assured that required financing is not available through other sources and that without
CDBG program involvement, the project will not proceed and employment opportunities will not be created
or retained as planned. This assurance will be obtained through credit analysis of the applicant's financial
capacity.

Edmond Futures: The Edmond Futures program is an independent non-profit organization funded by local businesses and professionals whose goal is economic vitality and stability in Edmond. Edmond Futures provides new businesses assistance in an effort to recruit new employers to the City of Edmond. Edmond Futures is a potential lender for firms important to the Edmond economy or who might not qualify for other local funding resources.
