Transportation
Edmond is located just outside the Oklahoma City Metro Area, giving residents easy access to many major highways, including Interstate 40, Interstate 35 and Interstate 44. Accessible roads coupled with low traffic create an average commute time of 20 minutes. With nearby airports, free bus service, a vast trail system, and sidewalks along every city street, Edmond makes travel of any kind a convenient option for residents.
Airports
Edmond is served by two local airports. Will Rogers World Airport is located 25 miles south of Edmond and Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport is located 7 miles north of Edmond.
Citylink
Citylink buses are equipped with bike racks and wheelchair tie-downs. The two Expresslink buses seat 30 passengers and are fueled with clean diesel. The local route buses can carry 19 passengers.
All Citylink rides are free and open to the public.
Trails
Edmond has an extensive trail system, totaling 13 miles. The trails can be used for various activities including mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding and are open from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.

Sidewalks
Sidewalks line every city street within the Edmond city limits, making Edmond a truly walkable city.
The City of Edmond also wants to help make your residential sidewalks safer. If you have sidewalk on your property that meets the criteria of the Sidewalk Partnership Program, the City of Edmond will pay for 70 percent of the sidewalk repairs.

Bicycle Edmond
With the recent opening of its first bike lane on University Drive, the City of Edmond is working to make Edmond a more bike-friendly community. As our community moves towards a more sustainable future, Edmond’s streets will be re-imagined in a way that is more inclusive to all users, whether they drive, walk, or bike.
