Edmond-based Clubhouse Trailer Co., LLC recently delivered another fleet of custom marching band trailers to the five high schools in Mesquite, Texas. The Clubhouse team worked closely with the Mesquite Independent School District administration and fine arts department as well as band staff from each high school to determine the unique needs of the programs.
Working with an exclusive broker, the Clubhouse team sourced Department of Transportation-inspected 51-foot and 53-foot moving vans for the foundation of each custom buildout. Oklahoma City-based City Trailer, led by President Richard Walker, made repairs to the trailer bodies and running gear as necessary and sandblasted, primed and painted each trailer jet-black in EPA controlled paint booths. City Trailer also organized the installation of full-color 3M graphics. Graphic design for each trailer was coordinated between Mesquite ISD Director of Fine Arts Steve Andre, Mesquite ISD graphic artist Daniel Muzquiz and each band staff.
The Clubhouse team fitted each trailer to its unique configuration, including features such as a full second floor, director’s perch, custom shelving, exclusive floating stairs, hydraulic ramps, color guard drawers and Tubavator equipment lift. Each trailer was equipped with a solar panel that charges the battery bank responsible for powering LED lights needed for the loading process at contests and football games. A polished diamond tread rear taillight panel, a Clubhouse trademark, was also added to each trailer.
Clubhouse Trailers was founded in 2010 by Jeff Hadley and Drew Taylor. The two “Band Dads” started the company after the successful rollout of Bulldog One at Edmond Memorial High School, where their children were in the band program. Knowing there had to be a better way, Hadley and Taylor created the only company in the U.S. focusing on the transportation and logistics of the Marching Arts. The Clubhouse team has completed projects for band and marching programs throughout the U.S., including The Cavaliers, a World Class Drum Corps International Corps from Rosemont, Illinois.
Made up primarily of the Hadley and Taylor families, the Clubhouse team is now working on trailers for a high school in Louisiana and an SEC college. The Clubhouse team also consults with programs that want a DIY option for building trailers and supplies custom kits of the most popular Clubhouse products.
